Church History

An overview that traces the growth of the church from its birth in the book of Acts to the present day. Students will explore major movements that have shaped the modern church.

Apologetics

This introductory course equips students to communicate the gospel effectively in a culture shaped by relativism and social backlash. While key apologetic content will be addressed, the primary focus of this course is to train students to engage with others through the apologetic method.

Old Testament Survey

A survey of the Old Testament that explores the author, audience, history, cultural context, and major themes of all thirty-nine books.

Theology I

Students will explore a comparative overview of seven areas of theology: theology and theological systems, bibliology and hermeneutics, the doctrine of God, the doctrine of the Trinity, the doctrine of Jesus Christ, the doctrine of the Holy Spirit, and the doctrine of angels.

Theology II

This course continues the study of theology with five major topics: the doctrines of man, sin, salvation, the church, and end times (last things).

Hermeneutics Homiletics

In this introduction to the art and science of biblical interpretation, students will receive training in the exegetical method while learning and applying the practical skills needed to clearly present biblical truths.

Spiritual Foundations

An exploration of the twelve core facets shared by spiritual giants and great movements throughout church history, with a focus on how students can apply these principles in their personal lives today.

Basin Theology

Based on an unpublished work by Pastor Skip Heitzig, this course reflects on the water basin Jesus used to wash the disciples' feet as a symbol of servant leadership. Students will explore how humility and service shape a believer's life and ministry.

Counseling

This course introduces the fundamentals of biblical counseling, covering primary techniques and the counseling process. During class, students will practice applying what they've learned to real-life scenarios.

Face-to-Face

In this practical spiritual foundations course, students will receive training in Bible-based prayer and journaling to strengthen their personal prayer life and ability to pray with and for others.

Mega Memory

This introduction to powerful memory techniques is designed to help students remember anything forever. Students will learn the techniques in the first half of the semester and apply the method to material from their other School of Ministry courses during the second half of the semester.
